we acknowledge the beautiful land on which we make our home and work.
It is the traditional lands of the people of the Treaty 7 Region of Southern Alberta, including the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, the Stoney Nakoda (Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations), in addition to the Metis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
As part of our commitment to reconciliation, we will continue to educate ourselves and learn from indigenous peoples who have had respectful, caring relationships with this land. We will continue to incorporate these learnings into our personal and professional actions to reduce oppression, racism, and exploitation of land/natural resources.
